I am a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at University of Oslo and PI for the project, New Models of Knowledge Communication, funded by the Research Council of Norway. The aim of this project is to problematize traditional approaches to the role of communication in both testimonial knowledge acquisition and peer disagreement, and to develop an alternative approach that rejects appeals to content preservation in social epistemology.

I am a member of the project, How do we understand machines that talk to us?, led by Ingrid Lossius Falkum and Nicholas Allott, investigating how humans engage with the outputs of LLMs.

I also work on broader issues in the philosophy of communication and mental content, including semantic holism, science communication, and conceptual engineering.

Underlying most of my work is an enduring commitment to defending content internalism.
